The dog days of summer have faded. Nature shrugs off her coat in a colorful display of falling leaves. The drought of 2020 brought subdued colors overall, but Phelps Grove Park doesn’t fail to put on a show. Early morning and late afternoon are prime times to casually walk among the trees. The sunlight slants through the canopy and the colors dazzle those that take the time to look.
Quickly, before it’s gone! While autumn may take place over three months on the calendar, this show only lasts for a few days at best. The rain and sleet of November will soon encourage trees to be ready for old man winter.
Take a walk. Spend some times just soaking it in. Come away with a sense of calm for your efforts.
You’re always welcomed to Phelps Grove Park and neighborhood.
